Chaos And Bullet Club Scheduled For Tag Team Match At War Of The Worlds
Chaos and Bullet Club take their battle to the United States.
In April, Ring of Honor announced the War of the Worlds tour in North America from May 9th to May 13th and announced several New Japan Pro Wrestling roster members who would be joining the tour including Rocky Romero and Roppongi 3K. Now those three members of Chaos will be taking on three members of the Bullet Club in Lowell, Massachusets.
The following is an excerpt of a press release from the Ring of Honor website.
There are many question marks surrounding Bullet Club. Who is the leader? Where do the allegiance of the Young Bucks lay? Is Bullet Club fine?
Cody defeated Kenny Omega at Supercard of Honor after the Young Bucks seemingly sized up Cody for a double Superkick but instead hit Omega, allowing Cody to win. Cody believes the victory definitively declares him the leader of Bullet Club while the finale of Being the Elite showed that the Young Bucks are conflicted, loyal Cody friend Adam Page is wavering, and Marty Scurll may be focused on not only his major record deal but also, more importantly, the Ring of Honor World Championship.
We’ll find out the status of Bullet Club in the coming weeks and three singles stars of Bullet Club will face a trio from long-time rivals CHAOS in Lowell!
BULLET CLUB (CODY, ADAM PAGE, & MARTY SCURLL) vs. CHAOS (ROCKY ROMERO & ROPPONGI 3K)
Rocky Romero has been the guiding light for Roppongi 3K. The team of Sho and Yoh returned to New Japan after years of being on excursion in Mexico with CMLL and in the US with ROH and captured the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship in their first match back in the country under the guidance of Romero. Less than one month later, the duo won the 2017 Super Jr. Tag Team Tournament at Power Struggle and secured a career-defining win against Bullet Club’s Young Bucks at New Beginning in Sapporo to win their second IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship!
The trio defeated the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions SoCal Uncensored at Strong Style Evolved in California and Romero, one of only two men to hold championships in ROH, CMLL, and NJPW, has taken Sho and Yoh under his wing and unlocked their potential as members of CHAOS.
The trio will test their new-found success against three of the top singles wrestlers not only in Bullet Club, but in the world, Cody, Adam Page, and Marty Scurll! Cody is riding high after defeating Omega while Page scored yet another pinfall at Masters of the Craft in an eight-man tag and Scurll earned another ROH World Championship opportunity when he pinned the World Champion Dalton Castle in the Main Event Defy or Deny match of Masters of the Craft! But can the three of them stay on the same page and can they find the continuity to defeat the formidable trio representing CHAOS?
Three of the four stops on the War of the Worlds Tour will be broadcasted on the Honor Club streaming service. Fightful Wrestling will have the results of the events.
