Bayley Speaks On Her Love Of Pro Wrestling
Bayley elaborates on her passion for being inside of the squared circle.
The former RAW Women's Champion Bayley has been involved in a back and forth feud with her long-time rival/best-friend Sasha Banks for a number of months now. The two staples of WWE's Women's Evolution have clashed on numerous occasions; most recently this past Monday on RAW before having their match interrupted. But while on WWE's tour of South Africa Bayley stated that the competition is what this is all about. She spoke on her love for the sport of professional wrestling and how much work it has taken her to get to this point.
"Being a professional wrestler is all about continuous training; for me personally. I’m at the gym for at least two hours a day, I indulge in different exercise routines, diet etc. I’m always thinking about what I will do in my next match. I watch wrestling all the time I love it and its much pretty party of my training routine,” She told 'New Vision'.
Bayley stated that she knew being in that ring was something that she needed to pursue at a young age. In 2008 Bayley kick-started her dream as a part of 'Big Time Wrestling's' wrestling school. From that point forward it was off and running for "The Huggable One" as she had her sights set on becoming a game-changer for women's wrestling.
“I felt stronger and I felt it was one thing I needed to pursue. It is scary but you don’t want to miss out on the good things that come with it. I have broken my hand and dislocated my shoulder but I have been very lucky. That injury cost me a championship in 2017, it kept me out but it gave me something to think about on who I wanted to be and what I wanted to achieve. It wasn’t easy coming back but I was happy my family was supportive,” Bayley noted. “When I was 13 I already knew this is what I wanted to do. I left the school that I went to in California and when I made 18 I stuck to it. I was in a community college at the time and it took up all my time and I did not finish school but I intend to go back." Bayley stated.
