Report: Stefan Struve Faces Marcin Tybura At UFC Fight Night Hamburg
A heavyweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Hamburg according to MMA NYTT as #8 Marcin Tybura faces #11 Stefan Struve.
Tybura (16-4-0) enters the contest in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Fabricio Werdum and Derrick Lewis. Tybura hasn’t picked up a win in almost a year, with that last victory coming over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night Singapore. Tybura has been defeated a total of four times as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to suffer a loss by way of submission.
Struve (28-10-0) is also coming into the bout on a two fight losing streak, with his losses coming to Alexander Volkov and Andrei Arlovski. Struve has picked up more than half of his professional MMA wins by submission, but has suffered the majority of losses by KO/TKO. Struve has headlined two UFC events in the past, defeating Stipe Miocic at UFC on Fuel TV 5 and losing to Alexander Volkov at UFC Fight Night Rotterdam.
UFC Fight Night Hamburg takes place on Sunday, July 22 from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
