Joe Rogan Says Conor McGregor Gets Special Treatment From The UFC
Former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and acquaintances attacked a bus full of UFC stars a few days before UFC 223, allegedly trying to get physical with UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Joe Rogan is a color commentator for the UFC and he says the promotion is giving their superstar special treatment.
“Switch it around; imagine if Ray Borg threw that dolly and Conor were inside. He’d be gone, his career would be over,” Rogan said on The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show. “That’s one of the more f—ked up things about this is that you know Conor is getting special treatment. He is, and that’s not good for anybody.”
McGregor has turned himself into authorities for the attack, but was released from their custody after paying $50,000 for bail.
Rogan even believes that McGregor should settle any potential lawsuits due to the attacks outside of the court system or the consequences can be horrifying for him.
“If I was Conor, I would settle every f—king thing outside of a courtroom because if he loses and he gets a felony, he’s f—ked,” Rogan said. “He probably won’t even be able to come into the country.”
The attack from McGregor lead to three fights being pulled from UFC 223, plus fighter Michael Chiesa did file a police report due to injuries suffered due to the former champions actions.
