Report: Paulo Costa & Uriah Hall Re-Booked For UFC 226
A bout originally set for UFC Fight Night Atlantic City has been re-booked for UFC 226 according to Paulo Costa himself as #10 Uriah Hall faces #14 Paulo Costa.
Hall (13-8-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh. Hall has seen his last three fights end via KO/TKO and it has been over two years since the fighter saw a bout go the distance. Hall made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17, losing to Kelvin Gastelum in the final fight on the reality show.
Costa (11-0-0) has already earned three victories under the UFC banner, defeating the trio of Garreth McClellan, Oluwale Bamgbose and Johny Hendricks. Costa has yet to see any of his professional MMA fights go the distance and only two fights went past the opening round. Costa was the fighter responsible for the original bout being canned, as the fighter suffered a bicep tear last month.
UFC 226 takes place on Saturday, July 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
