TNA Impact Continues To Gain More Viewers
TNA Impact Wrestling’s television numbers continue to rise, landing in the top 100 original cable telecasts in ratings for August 25.
According to Showbuzz Daily, the August 25 edition of TNA Impact Wrestling garnered 373,000 viewers, up 5% from last week’s 355,000 viewers.
The show had a 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Home and Garden TV’s Flip or Flop led the way with 2.864 million viewers and a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
This continues a positive trend for the company, as the August 11 episode only had 315,000 viewers and the prior week attracted 317,000 viewers. Now that the Olympics are done, this week’s numbers might be the norm for the company. This was TNA’s best week in viewership since the July 5 episode, which showcased the famous Final Deletion match between the Hardy brothers.
This is the second week in Billy Corgan’s reign as head of day-to-day operations and in those two weeks, the show averaged 364,000 viewers.
This week’s episode of Impact had Mike Bennett become the #1 contender to Bobby Lashley’s TNA Title after winning a battle royale. There was also a title change as Allie became the new Knockouts Champion after defeating Sienna, Madison Rayne, Marti Bell and Jade in a 5-way Knockouts Title Match. The main event of the match saw Drew Galloway face off against Ethan Carter III with the winner going on to the main event of TNA’s next pay-per-view, Bound for Glory, on October 2.
