Max Holloway’s Manager Explains Why He Does Not Call Out Conor McGregor

Max Holloway's manager says he wants Conor McGregor to come to him.

Max Holloway currently holds the UFC Featherweight Championship which Conor McGregor never lost but had stripped. The last loss on Holloway's record was to McGregor in 2013 and despite those things Holloway’s manager Brian Butler-Au said on The MMA Hour that the champion does not want to call out McGregor like so many other UFC fighters.

“It’s been a funny situation with Max. He’s not somebody that has ever, he’s never gone after Conor like everybody else. He’s always been very aware of the fact that he’s not going to give that to Conor. He’s going to earn his way and he’s going to make Conor come to him, and that’s the way he’s been playing. That’s why you’ve never seen Max go out there and just blatantly call out Conor," said Butler-Au.

On April 7th, Holloway was slated to compete against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 for the UFC Lightweight Championship of which McGregor still has possession, but was pulled due to the NYSAC. Fightful MMA will have live coverage of UFC 223 and a recapping podcast
