Alexa Bliss Talks Her Off-Screen Personality, Competing Against Nia Jax At WrestleMania 34, And More

"The Goddess Of WWE" is looking to secure her first victory at WrestleMania.

In two years Alexa Bliss has climbed to the top of the ranks in both RAW and SmackDown Live's Women's divisions. Also, another second for her is that she will be walking into her second consecutive WrestleMania with a championship around her waist.

“It’s very exciting. Last year I thought it was amazing and that it couldn’t get any better walking into WrestleMania as SmackDown Women’s Champion so this year, I’m walking into my second WrestleMania as RAW women’s champion. I could not have asked for a better year with WWE. They have been so great to me.” Alexa Bliss stated while being interviewed by Dirt Fork.

This year she will be defending the RAW Women's Championship against Nia Jax who Bliss has brought another side out of by verbally assaulting Nia. Bliss stated that she is excited to be in the ring on "The Grandest Stage Of Them All" with a woman who she used to consider to be her best-friend.

“I am going against my former best friend Nia Jax and I think this will be my toughest match to date because this one is more personal. All of the other matches I’ve had have been all business, competition or going for a title but now, it’s personal,” Bliss said. “I’m going to have to be quicker than her and find any opening I can take to exploit her weaknesses. Even though she’s bigger and stronger than me, she has weaknesses and it’s going to be my job to use them.”

"Little Miss Bliss" is a devilish heel on-screen, but she revealed in the interview that she is vastly different in reality. She shared that even in her free time, she rarely goes out as she likes to stay in her own personal space.

“I’m pretty anti-social. I don’t go out, I’m very immature still. My ideal night for me, personally, is watching Disney movies and drinking a glass of wine by myself in the hotel room, that’s my ideal night. I guess people would describe me as the character I portrayed in NXT when I threw glitter and wore tutus and was very bubbly because that’s what I love. I love things that are sparkly and glittery and Disney, all of these things a 26-year-old probably shouldn’t like but I do.”

The last time that there was a singles match for a Women's Title at WrestleMania was back in 2006 at WrestleMania 22 where Mickie James & Trish Stratus clashed over the WWE Women's Championship. Alexa is honored to be the first woman [along with Nia] in the last 12 years of the event to have a one-on-one non-stipulated match.

“With this WrestleMania and the type of match I have, it’s the first title match for women in 11 years so it will be an awesome moment in general. But for my match with Nia, I want the WWE Universe to feel something,” Bliss said. “I want them to feel the story that we’re telling because we’re both putting our real emotions into it and I want that to be portrayed and I want the fans to see that, feel that and respect that.

The former two-time SmackDown Live Women's Champion would also reveal the inspiration behind her character, talked working with Braun Strowman in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament, and more. To take a look at the rest of Alexa Bliss' comments, click here.
