Report: Aleksandar Rakic Faces Justin Ledet At UFC Fight Night Hamburg
A heavyweight division attraction is the first bout set for UFC Fight Night Hamburg according to Jim Edwards of MMA NYTT as Aleksandar Rakic takes on Justin Ledet.
Rakic (9-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Francimar Barroso by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. Rakic hasn’t suffered a defeat in over six years, with that lone loss coming to Christian Radke at Rock The Cage 2 in October 2011. Rakic has only seen just one of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came at the aforementioned UFC Fight Night Rotterdam event.
Ledet (9-0-0-1NC) has already earned three victories during his UFC tenure, defeating the trio of Chase Sherman, Mark Godbeer and Azunna Anyanwu. Ledet also competed once in the Legacy Fighting Championships, battling Brice Ritani-Coe to a no contest due to an accidental eye poke. Ledet also competed four times in the International Xtreme Fighting Association, with three of the four wins in the promotion coming by first round finish.
UFC Fight Night Hamburg takes place on Sunday, July 22 from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
