Mark Henry Feels That There Is A Lot Of Work To Be Done Before Hulk Hogan Can Return To WWE
"The Worlds Strongest Man" weighs in the possibility of Hulk Hogan returning to WWE.
Recently announced WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Mark Henry has taken a step back from the ring and has become a mentor and talent scout for WWE. Henry has also ventured into the Podcasting world where he co-hosts 'Busted Open Radio' with David LaGreca. On a recent edition of the show, Henry gave his take on the talks surrounding WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan possibly returning to the company.
WWE recently confirmed that they have been in talks with one Terry Bollea about coming back to discuss with other superstars on the roster about learning from their mistakes. While that may be a start, Mark Henry feels that there is much more to be done before "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan comes home.
”There are leaked videos of the Andre story on HBO coming up, on the 29th is the opening in Los Angeles, and he’s in it. It’s kind of a deal where you have to accept it. He’s a public figure, it doesn’t mean that everything that he’s done is forgiven, you just gotta take the good with the bad and see how you could help the situation." Henry explained, "I’m sitting on the chair of the delegation and they’re not ready. I’ve had many talks, with dozens of guys, and the consensus is there’s a lot of work to be done to heal that wound and to fix that wall. The delegation is pretty much all of the more established African-American wrestlers in the country and in the world for that matter. Every promotion… there’s not a wrestling promotion that doesn’t house someone from the delegation.”
The former World Heavyweight Champion would then go into detail about what needs to happen before Hogan's emergence back onto the WWE scene.
”There’s gonna have to be more community service and outside work. Support for programs and even creative programs that deal with diversity in the workplace. I don’t process everything like everybody else. I believe that everybody should be given a second chance but I also believe that you have to own your issue. Whatever that issue is. You gotta try to make closure on everybody else’s behalf, not just yours.”
On April 6th, Mark Henry will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania weekend. We will have a live coverage article of the event, right here on Fightful.com.
