Fight Size Update: Apollo’s Injury Scare During Last Night’s WWE Live Event, Katsuyori Shibata Says He’s Not Retired Yet, More

Here's your Fight Size wrestling Update for the morning of March 25th, 2018.

– During last night's WWE Live event in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, 'Titus Worldwide' member Apollo tweaked his knee during a Triple Threat tag team match against The Bar and Gallows & Anderson. The official for the bout threw up the "X" so that medical personnel could attend to Apollo, but according to those in attendance he continued on with the match and appeared to be fine.

 

– The 23rd of March was the anniversary of Jan Ross, Jim Ross's wife passing. Ross paid tribute to his beloved wife with a post on Twitter. You can check that out by clicking here.

– WWE uploaded videos of Ronda Rousey training for her upcoming match at WrestleMania 34. In the video she was wearing a 'Mount Rushmore 2.0' shirt which featured the faces of NXT stars Roderick Strong and Adam Cole, Super Dragon, and The Young Bucks. One-half of The Young Bucks, Matt Jackson, would give Ronda a nod for the shirt.

 

– Mustafa Ali is elated to be heading to WrestleMania to compete for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. He shared on Twitter that he never thought the WWE Universe would get behind him, but they've shocked him and backed the 205 Live star to the point where he will be able to realize his dream.

– Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt has sent out his first statement since being tossed into the "Lake Of Reincarnation" by the "Woken One" Matt Hardy. Wyatt also appeared at WWE's live event in Toronto on Friday night, where he seemingly backed down from Hardy.

 

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet was present at the New Japan Dojo for the festivities that took place before 'Strong Style Evolved' tonight. Those in attendance had the opportunity to speak with some of their favorite NJPW stars and the head coach of the New Japan dojo, Katsuyori Shibata was available for questioning as well. Since suffering a subdural hematoma around this time last year, Shibata was seemingly ruled out of competing in a wrestling ring again. A fan in attendance asked the former three-time NEVER Openweight Champion about his transition from wrestler to coach. The site notes that Shibata immediately corrected said person and stated that he is not retiring from anything, but more of he is just recovering from the injury.

– Former two-time SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston spoke with Sports Illustrated recently to promote The New Day's new book: 'The Book of Booty: Shake It. Love It. Never Be It'. In the article Kofi would give his take on what Daniel Bryan's emergence back onto WWE's active competitors list means for the company and the landscape of pro wrestling as a whole.
