Triple H Reveals His Most Memorable WrestleMania Match

Having competed at 18 WrestleMania's, one in particular stands out.

At WrestleMania XXVIII, what many fans refer to as the "End of an Era" match took place as Triple H and The Undertaker had their third match in the history of WrestleMania. The two gladiators stepped inside of 'Hell In A Cell' to put an end to their storied rivalry. With Triple H's best-friend Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee delivering a "Superkick" to The Undertaker, followed up with a "Pedigree" from Triple H himself, that still was not enough to put "The Deadman" down as he bested Triple H to further his WrestleMania winning streak to 20-0.

NXT's founder and senior producer stated to The Express that the last contest he had with The Undertaker is at the very top of his WrestleMania matches/moments list

"I think for me the WrestleMania match that had the most meaning for me or the most kind of special place for me would be the WrestleMania match against Undertaker, Hell in a Cell, with Shawn Michaels as the Special Guest Referee. They dubbed it the 'End of an Era' match and it really came down to two guys competing in the ring. One guy's refereeing being Shawn Michaels. Three guys being inside the cell with the upmost respect for each other and long-standing long careers with each other. It was a really special match, really special night." Triple H continued, “I think we went to accomplish what we wanted to accomplish but then afterwards there was just a moment where the three of us were standing on that stage looking out over that stadium that is etched in my mind that I'll never forget and it's myself, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels all standing there. It was for us, not just for the entertainment side, a special moment, but for us personally. Personally, professionally, on every level it was a special moment.”

Triple H called The Undertaker out for all three of their WrestleMania bouts and it appears that "The Deadman" is not done being called out as he still has one man who wants a shot. Former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena is on a quest to bring The Undertaker back to the squared circle and has attempted to do so by calling him a "coward", claiming that The Undertaker is not a man among other insults. The conscience of the WWE has yet to respond to Cena and with only two weeks to go until WrestleMania 34, Cena will surely continue to attempt to get an answer from the man he wants to step into the ring with on April 8th.
