Report: Claudio Puelles Faces Felipe Silva At UFC Fight Night Chile
A lightweight division clash is apparently going to be the newest addition to the UFC Fight Night Chile card according to Combate as Claudio Puelles faces Felipe Silva.
Puelles (7-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Martin Bravo via second round TKO at UFC Fight Night 98. Puelles also returns to action for the first time in well over a year, as his last bout took place in November of 2016. Puelles hasn’t seen one of his fights go the distance in almost four years and the fighter has a record of 1-1-0 in those bouts that go to the judges scorecards.
Silva (8-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. Silva has only seen one of his nine professional MMA fights get out of the first round and that came against Allan Moziel at JF Fight Evolution 14. Silva is going to be competing for the third time in the UFC, but none of the competitors bouts have happened in his native Brazil.
UFC Fight Night Chile takes place on Saturday, May 19 from the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
