Heavyweight Title Bout Headlines LFA 38
The Legacy Fighting Alliance Heavyweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of LFA 38 as Jeff Hughes puts the gold on the line against Maurice Greene.
Hughes (8-1-0) is going to be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Richard Odoms at LFA 26. Hughes has previously challenged for the Alpha One Sports Heavyweight Title, losing to Dan Spohn via fifth round TKO in December of 2016. Hughes also had an extensive amateur MMA career, winning nine of then ten bouts he competed at before turning pro in late 2014.
Greene (4-1-0) is currently undefeated under the LFA banner, having defeated Jermaine McDermott by first round submission at LFA 19. Greene has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Bellator MMA veteran Dan Charles at Flawless FC 3. Greene has seen his last three bouts end within the opening round and it has been almost five years since the fighter got out of the first round.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 38 takes place on Friday, April 27 from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota with Jeff Hughes and Maurice Greene headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
