Report: Ed Ruth Faces Laszlo Furko At Bellator 196

The final main card bout is set for the upcoming Bellator 196 event according to MMA Junkie as Ed Ruth is going to be in action against Laszlo Furko.

Ruth (4-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career in Bellator MMA and none of his fights have gone past the second round. Ruth was last seen in action at Bellator 186, where he defeated Chris Dempsey by second round knockout. Ruth is also going to be making his welterweight division debut in this fight, as the competitor had previously competed at middleweight.

Furko (6-3-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a two bout winning streak. Furko has seen a professional MMA bout go past the opening round in almost three years, holding a 1-1-0 record in bouts that escape the first round. Furko also competed once as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Tahli Sami by unanimous decision at Kiru MMA: The Beginners 4.

Bellator 196 takes place on Friday, April 6 from the Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary with Ben Henderson and Roger Huerta headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
