Report: Darren Stewart Faces Eric Spicely At UFC Fight Night Liverpool

A middleweight division encounter is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Liverpool according to MMA NYTT as Darren Stewart faces Eric Spicely.

Stewart (7-3-0-1NC) enters the contest on a three bout losing streak, last dropping a fight to Julian Marquez at UFC On Fox 26. Stewart hasn’t earned a victory in almost two years and he has yet to pick up a win in UFC competition. Stewart also won four fights during two separate stints in the Cage Warriors promotion, with all four wins coming by KO/TKO.

Spicely (10-3-0) enters the contest on a two bout losing streak, dropping fights to the duo of Antonio Carlos Jr and Gerald Meerschaert. Spicely has yet to have any of his bouts in the UFC go the distance and none of those fights even made it past the second round. Spicely also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, losing to Andrew Sanchez in the semi-finals of the reality show.

UFC Fight Night Liverpool takes place on Sunday, May 27 from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England with Darren Till and an opponent to be announced headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
