Fight-size Boxing Update: Anthony Crolla, Jacobs vs. Sulecki Undercard, Mayweather vs. McGregor


You fight-size boxing update:

– The March 31 boxing card at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales just got another boost for its undercard. Former WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla has been added to the undercard and will face Edson Martinez, who has not lost a fight since the start of 2013.

– Speaking of the Principality Stadium card, the main event is the WBA/IBF/IBO/WBO heavyweight unification bout between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker. Giuseppe Quartarone has been confirmed to be the referee for the historic heavyweight fight. Showtime released a video on its YouTube channel previeweing Joshua vs. Parker which can be seen at the top of the page.

– With speculation of a potential MMA fight for Floyd Mayweather, odds are already being made of a rematch between Mayweather and Conor McGregor in the octagon. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opens McGregor as a -1000 favorite and Mayweather as a +650 underdog.

– The following undercard fights have been announced for the April 28 boxing card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The main event, which will be televised on HBO, is a middleweight bout between former world champion Daniel Jacobs and Maciej Sulecki.

  • Shohjahon Ergashev vs. Zhimin Wang: Super Lightweight bout
  • Daniyar Yeleussinov vs. TBA: Welterweight bout
  • Dimash Niyazov vs. TBA: Lightweight bout
  • Julian Sosa vs. TBA: Welterweight bout
  • Lawrence Gleeson vs. TBA: Super Lightweight bout

– Former WBO super middleweight world champion Arthur Abraham, who has not fought since losing to Chris Eubank Jr. in an IBO super middleweight title fight last summer, will try to bounce back by fighting Patrick Nielsen next month. The fight will happen on April 28 at the Baden Arena in Offenburg, Germany.
