Alexa Bliss Says She Was Not Allowed To Watch Wrestling In Her Mother’s Home Because She Would Tell Her To “Suck It”

"Little Miss Bliss" has some stories to tell.

Ahead of Monday Night RAW broadcasting live from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI, the current RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss phoned in with The Detroit News to promote the show. Bliss would tell a number of stories about how she came across her love for pro wrestling, talked preparing her body for the WWE grind and more.

Alexa Bliss displays quite the evil-smirk while on WWE TV and she stated that her own mother has mentioned to her that she's had that smirk in her arsenal since a child.

"My mother tells me the evil glares have been happening my whole life, but I don’t believe her.”

Bliss, who hails from Columbus, OH has been involved in sports nearly her entire life. Whether it'd be cheerleading or gymnastics, she has always been active in sports.

“I was constantly working out in the gym,” says Bliss. "They had me with trainers since I was 14 years old. My parents always told me that you’re never going to get anything if you don’t work for it and what’s worth having doesn’t come easy.”

The former two-time SmackDown Live Women's Champion shared a hilarious story about not being able to watch wrestling at her mother's home, thanks to a popular faction by the name of 'D Generation-X'.

“I wasn’t really allowed to watch, because I started telling my mom to ‘suck it,’" Bliss says.

As Alexa has stated in numerous interviews, she has not always been comfortable speaking in front of an audience. But now, "Miss Five Feet Of Fury" can get under the skin of anyone; as most recently exampled during the latest edition of RAW where she brought Nia Jax to tears with a few words of "encouragement".

“Before I was portraying the character Alexa Bliss, I was very shy, very uncomfortable with playing a bad guy or showing any emotion really,” she says. “Now when I’m in the ring or doing a speaking segment, I get so wrapped up in the character that I don’t even notice I’m doing it. It’s a natural feeling for me.”

Although Bliss has been involved in sports for most of life, she revealed that nothing can prepare oneself for the punishment that the body is put through being a pro wrestler.

“Even with the cheerleading background, gymnastics, bodybuilding, doing bootcamps all the time, nothing can prepare you for what your body goes through in the ring. It’s one of the toughest things you’ll ever do, but also one of the most rewarding.”

The current RAW Women's Champion would also tell the story behind her "temper tantrums" that she throws on a regular basis on WWE TV. To catch up on the trouble Bliss has been causing in RAW's women's division, head over to our Monday Night RAW results from 3/5/18 for more information.
