Bellator 195 & UFC 222 Preliminary Card Ratings Are In
MMA fans were treated to a pair of big MMA events this past weekend, with Bellator 195 on Friday Night and UFC 222 on Saturday Night.
Bellator 195, which was headlined by a bantamweight title fight that saw Darrion Caldwell defeat Leandro Higo, brought in an average of 749,000 viewers (including DVR) for the show that aired live on the Paramount Network.
UFC 222 aired the next night, with a four fight preliminary card airing live on Fox Sports 1 featuring Mackenzie Dern and Ashley Yoder in the featured spot.
A grand total of 905,000 viewers was the average for the four fight preliminary card, with another 12,029 checking out the bouts via Fox Sports Go and Fox Now. It was the featured fight between Dern and Yoder that brought in the most viewers, with 1,076,000 fans checking out that bout.
The pre-fight show that aired on Fox Sports 1 brought in 431,000 viewers and the post-fight show that aired on FS1 brought in 177,000 viewers.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night London, but that entire card is going to be streaming live on UFC Fight Pass. The next events to air on TV are going to be Bellator 196, which is headlined by James Gallagher and Adam Borics, airing via tape delay on the Paramount Network. The UFC 223 preliminary card is next for a television broadcast and that will air on Fox Sports 1, with Felice Herrig and Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the featured spot.
