– Former IBF super featherweight champion Jose Pedraza, who recently signed with Top Rank, has been added to the March 17 Top Rank Boxing on ESPN card at Madison Square Garden. Pedraza will be making his long-awaited lightweight debut against Jose Luis Rodriguez on the undercard.
– The March 31 Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN card in Quincy, Massachusetts, will be headlined by a super welterweight fight between Mark DeLuca and Michael Moore. The card will be televised on ESPN2.
– WBC super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo had some choice words for Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn after Kell Brook's recent win in his super welterweight debut, calling Hearn "The New Don King Of Boxing." Hearn jokingly responded on Twitter by offering a fight card featuring Charlo and Brook as well as a fight between Daniel Jacobs and Jermell's twin brother Jermall.
– Martin Joseph Ward will defend his EBU and WBA International super featherweight against James Tennyson on the Tony Bellew vs. David Haye 2 undercard on May 5. The Bellew vs. Haye rematch will be aired live on the AWE Network for fans in the United States.
– WBC super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the year at the 12th Siamkeela (Siam Sport) Awards in his native Thailand. Sor Rungvisai was given a cash prize equaling $9,561 as part of the MVP.
