Max Holloway & Conor McGregor Have Twitter Exchange After UFC 222
UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor have had many back and forth confrontations before.
McGregor had alluded to stepping in for the injured Holloway to fight former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 222, but Brian Ortega got the opportunity instead.
It was that assumption by McGregor that led to the Twitter war breaking out between both champions:
You had nothing to gain from taking that fight @FrankieEdgar. But you took it you defended what you already earned. There’s no belt for sacrificing everything but true fans and Jersey knows no belt can outshine what you bring to the sport. Chin up bratha

The UFC Lightweight Champion would then share some images for his upcoming commercial for Burger King, which would lead to another battle between he and Holloway:
There are two kings in this picture and only one in the fight game. Forget the rest. Big news on the way. @burgerking. #ad pic.twitter.com/aayNQuFDxP
