Shana Dobson Talks Lauren Mueller Matchup & Training full time at Team Lloyd Irvin

Shana Dobson is back in action in a little over a month at UFC On Fox 29 and her opponent on that night is going to be Lauren Mueller.

The fighter did compete on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 alongside 15 other female competitors and a lot of them have remained friends after the reality show ended.

“We were all buds, especially DeAnna (Bennett). Its funny, because it was DeAnna and I, Sijara (Eubanks) and Ariel (Beck) were all roommates on the Ultimate Fighter. We all stayed in touch and we were all buds and you know, when Sarge (Sijara Eubanks) and DeAnna had the fight on the show, Ariel and I were chirping out ‘our roommates are fighting…our buds are fighting.’ Then it ended up in the finale that Ariel and I had to fight, but you know, that’s my buddy right there. We were good friends before and we are good friends to this day. Much respect to her and the rest of the TUF cast,” Dobson said in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

Dobson made her official UFC debut last year at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, defeating Ariel Beck and earning the first non-decision win of the competitors professional MMA career.

Despite the fact there are just under two months until the bout at UFC On Fox 29, a jovial Dobson has already started cutting weight for the bout.

“We are a couple days away, so March 1 marks the more serious cuts. So no sneaking the chocolate and the good stuff. The weight cut process…I was worried because moving out here (Washington DC) and starting over with my resources. I have healthy, fresh meals out here in DC. Their food is bomb and its healthy, they’re making it easy for me. Its not going to be too tough,” says Dobson.

UFC On Fox 29 takes place on Saturday, April 14 from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona with Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
