Report: Brad Scott Steps In At UFC Fight Night London
Jack Marshman was left without an opponent for UFC Fight Night London after Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos pulled out of their fight due to injury. However, a report from MMA Junkie is stating that Brad Scott has agreed to step in on short notice to face Marshman at the event.
Marshman (22-7-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with the last fight being a first round submission loss to Antonio Carlos Jr. at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Marshman is a former Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion, defeating Ali Arish to win the gold at CWFC 76. Marshman has only seen one of his professional MMA bouts go the distance in the last two-plus years and that came back at UFC Fight Night Glasgow.
Scott (11-5-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with the last bout being a loss to Jack Hermansson at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Scott also made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes, losing to Robert Whittaker in that final encounter. Scott also competed once in Cage Warriors, defeating Mok Rahman at CWFC Fight Night 4 in March 2012.
UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 17 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Volkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with broadcast plans yet to be announced.
