Al Snow Says Ronda Rousey Will Need More Charisma To Make It In WWE
Ronda Rousey is among the latest crossover stars between pro wrestling and MMA, but few knew that in addition to a long WWE run, Al Snow also appeared as a cornerman in an early UFC.
Accompanying Dan "The Beast" Severn to the cage, Al Snow is still active in pro wrestling decades later. When speaking to Rodolfo Roman for an interview recently, Snow said that Rousey won't be able to rest on her laurels during her WWE run, and needs to step it up in the charisma department.
"I hope nothing but the best for her. It's not like Brock Lesnar. He came from WWE and went to UFC. It's okay to come from the fake world of WWE to UFC like — Oh they're going to do it for real. It's different to come from the top, lost two times in a row, maybe she can't hack it and she's coming to WWE. That doesn't mean she's not legitimately a badass and can't wipe the floor with anyone who makes that statement. It's a perception. Its takes a very special person to for it to work the opposite direction. If she's capable of taking the charisma she had in MMA, she's going to need ten times the charisma in the WWE to take that stigma. I trained King Mo and Dan Severn. Both will tell you — King Mo was like 'I don't know how these guys do it. I would rather much prepare for a fight than train to be professional wrestler because physically there's much more demands'."
Rousey will next appear for WWE at Elimination Chamber where se will sign her contract with WWE Raw. You can see Al Snow's full interview above.
