Villano III Jr. has been sidelined with an injury.

CMLL announced that Villano III Jr. has suffered a torn ACL and lateral meniscus tear, so he will be unable to compete at the Viernes Espectacular VIP event on January 4. There, he was set to face Zandokan Jr.

From CMLL:

CMLL reports that due to a serious knee injury, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus tear, Villano III Jr. will not be able to participate in the Viernes Espectacular VIP event on January 3, where he would face Zandokan Jr. as a rematch of one of the best matches of 2024.

In his place, Villano III Jr. will be featured, continuing the legacy of the Dinastía Imperial. We wish Villano III Jr. a speedy recovery.”

Villano III Jr. last wrestled at the CH Chuleteando Navidad De Oro Y Plata event on December 26. 

There is currently no word on how long Villano III Jr. will be sidelined. Because of said injury, Hijo del Villano III (his brother) will now face Zandokan Jr. on the 1/4 edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular VIP. The updated card is listed below.
