At AEW Rampage New Year’s Smash, Anthony Bowens faced ROH World Champion Chris Jericho in a singles match. They battled back and forth, and Max Caster got involved, as he and Bowens hit Jericho with Scissor Me Timbers.
Caster’s interference backfired in the closing moments. Bryan Keith and Big Bill tried to help Jericho, and Caster attempted to stop them. Keith and Caster struggled over the ROH World Championship, and Caster accidentally hit Caster with the title. Jericho then covered Bowens for the win.
