Roman Reigns: I’m Very Fortunate To Work With My Family Members Like The Rock
Roman Reigns teamed with The Rock at night one of WrestleMania XL, picking up a victory over Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins.
While it looked like Roman and Rock were headed for a showdown of their own, plans shifted in February after the crowd got behind Cody.
It is unknown if Rock and Roman will eventually square off, but if they do, Roman just views it as accomplishing more with his family.
“I never really looked at it like that,” Reigns told Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast when asked about the gravity of himself vs. Rock. “It was more so that situation where you zoom out and you see all these family members together. When you’re able to do that with someone from your family, with people from your Bloodline, there is just something about that. Maybe you can ask the Kelce brothers [Jason Kelce & Travis Kelce] or the Harbaughs [Jim Harbaugh & John Harbaugh], it’s this weird, sharing such a huge main event level moment with so many eyes on it, the whole world was watching, especially with the way we have it now. I wasn’t even looking at him like ‘this is DJ [Dwayne Johnson],’ it was just me and another family member. I mean that with the utmost love and respect. It’s really hard to put into words how that can make a man feel and how proud I am to be able to attempt to articulate this. We’re very fortunate.”
It is unknown when The Rock will return to WWE TV. He showed up at WWE Bad Blood, staring down Roman, Cody and Jimmy Uso.
Elsewhere during the interview, Roman commented on the Shield’s debut at WWE Survivor Series 2012. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
