Booker T: Corey Graves Is The Reason I’m Not On RAW Anymore, I Would Beat Him Down

Booker T’s sudden removal from the Monday Night RAW commentary team may not have been a smooth decision for WWE to make and it may have more to do with a dislike towards Corey Graves.

On Booker T’s Heated Conversations show, the former WCW world heavyweight champion said there has been tensions between him and Graves and even said he would beat up the former NXT Tag Team champion.

“Corey Graves has been throwing jabs at me, I’ve been doing the same. Corey Graves is a college-educated young man. His vernacular is a little different than mine. Let me tell you, if I got Corey Graves into a fisticuffs, I would beat him down. I would be whooping his ass all day long,” Booker T said.

Despite Booker T’s comments, he insists that he’s not a bad person, but Graves is slowly getting on his bad side and said he’s the reason Booker T is no longer on commentary. Booker T was replaced by former RAW announcer and former ESPN anchor Jonathan Coachman.

“I’m a good guy until you get on my bad side. I wouldn’t necessarily say Corey’s on my bad side, but he’s the reason I’m not on Monday Night RAW anymore. A lot of people in the company thought I was going to jump on him, do something bad to him, drag him, take him out to the woodshed. [They thought] I was going to beat that man so senseless, that’s how hot I was getting, that’s how close I got. They said, ‘Book, we’re going to take you off RAW, take a step back and regroup and cool you down because we don’t want you to do anything to Corey Graves and we know what you can do to Corey Graves. He’s sitting there for a reason. If I catch Corey Graves on the street, I’m going to do something to him. I’m not going to do it in the offices or anything like that,” Booker T said.

Since returning to WWE in 2011, Booker T has done work as a part-time wrestler, announcer and SmackDown general manager.
