Tywan Claxton Faces Jose Antonio Perez At Bellator 194

A featherweight division attraction is a late addition to the Bellator 194 card as Tywan Claxton is going to be in action against Jose Antonio Perez. The bout will also serve as the fifth fight on the main card, which means it will kick off the Paramount Network broadcast.

Claxton (1-0-0) made his professional MMA debut late last year at Bellator 186, defeating Jonny Bonilla-Bowman via flying knee strike knockout. Claxton has no amateur MMA experience to speak of, as his pro MMA debut was the fighters overall MMA debut. Claxton is also making his Bellator main card debut, as the last bout came on the preliminary card.

Perez (0-1-0) made his professional MMA debut at Bellator 185 in October of 2017, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Kevin Carrier. Perez also has no amateur MMA experience, so he has the same amount of MMA experience as Claxton. Perez made his professional MMA debut a month earlier than Claxton, as Claxton’s debut took place in November of 2017.

Bellator 194 takes place on Friday, February 16 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Matt Mitrione and Roy Nelson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
