William Regal Appears At NXT Halloween Havoc, Says He’ll Be In Lexis King’s Corner On Tuesday’s WWE NXT

As previously announced, Lexis King will challenge Charlie Dempsey for the NXT Heritage Cup on the October 29th episode of NXT. However, NXT General Manager Ava told King that he needed to find someone to be in his corner for the match, and he had been unable to find anyone.
During NXT Halloween Havoc, King was asked about his ongoing search, and he noted that he still had not found anyone. He said that he was struggling to find a cornerman, and nobody called him back. King made it clear that he was trying to be his own man, and rejection sucked. William Regal interrupted and said that he would be King’s cornerman.
Regal said that he knew King’s father, and the apple did not fall far from the tree, especially with second-generation wrestlers. Regal also said that he appreciated that King was trying to be his own man. King thanked him, and they shook hands.

Regal is Charlie Dempsey’s father. The former NXT General Manager previously confronted Dempsey on the March 5, 2024, episode of NXT. He returned to WWE in January 2023 as the Vice President of Global Talent Development.
