Sasha Banks And Vickie Guerrero’s Emotional Royal Rumble Weekend Conversation
It's no secret that WWE Superstar Sasha Banks is largely inspired by the late Eddie Guerrero. On Sunday at the WWE Royal Rumble, she found out how much her tributes meant to Eddie's family.
WWE posted an emotional video of Sasha Banks having a conversation with Guerrero's widow Vickie, who also appeared in the Rumble match itself.
"To have my husband be such an influence on her and motivate her and help her be the talented superstar she is, to see you have Eddie's flames on and show how much you loved him meant the world to us," Vickie told Sasha. "Thank you for representing Eddie in such a special way and keeping him in your heart. When you have Eddie in your life and a part of you in the ring — that's how I survived. It was emotional and thoughtful."
A tearful Sasha Banks responded to Vickie, and offered up how important Guerrero was to her career. Sasha also fondly remembered Vickie's daughter and Aiden English's wife Shaul training with her in FCW.
"Wrestling's the only thing I've ever loved, and I really feel like wrestling saved my life," said Banks. "Eddie was the first person I ever saw on TV and I was instantly hooked. I wanted to do exactly what he did. I wanted to be just like him, the female version of him. We've come such a long way with women. I want little girls to feel the way Eddie made me feel watching wrestling. I remember after Wrestlemania and you all came and told me thank you for wearing the (Eddie inspired) gear. I could not stop crying."
