Sasha Banks Reveals Her First Memories Of Monday Night Raw

Like many her age, Sasha Banks was a fan of Raw growing up.

She talked about her earliest memories in an interview with Talksport. She was born the same year Raw made its debut on the USA Network, so she doesn't remember the first episode. But she does remember the storyline that got her into WWE programing: the soap opera story between Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

I remember watching it when I was a little, little baby and not understanding what it was. It wasn’t until I was about 10 that I got hooked and actually watched it on my own. The first person I saw was Eddie Guerrero, but the moment that really stood out for me was the storyline between Stephanie and Vince and Triple H. I was like what is this? Is this a soap opera, is it wrestling? I was so entertained I had to watch every single week to see what was going to happen next. I remember my Mum coming in telling me to turn it off, but now she comes to every single show, every single week. She’s a fan now, which is so cool to see.

When it comes to taking credit for Raw's success over the last 25 years, it's simple who she'd pick: the fans. She feels that they made the women's revolution happen, and it's because of them the company is successful.

I credit the success to our fans. If they weren’t here supporting us, watching us every week we wouldn’t be here and there wouldn’t be a RAW 25. Not just Raw, but the women’s revolution is because they made it happen. If they hadn’t started tweeting out ‘Give Divas a Chance’ then I don’t know where would be, we probably wouldn’t be talking about a women’s Royal Rumble. It’s all credit to our fans, they love us and we love them back, which is why we keep on entertaining them every single week.

Banks will be a part of all the Raw 25 festivities later tonight.
