Chris Lytle hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since his retirement bout at UFC On Versus 5, where the fighter defeated Dan Hardy by third round submission.
The fighter has kept himself busy outside of the Octagon, which includes a debut in the Bareknuckle Boxing promotion.
Lytle debuted this past weekend at BKB 9 in England, defeating Lewis Gallant by third round TKO according to the Daily Star. The event took place at the 02 Arena, which is where UFC Fight Night London is taking place at this March.
It has been a long time since Lytle boxed in any fashion, but he does hold a record of 13-1-1 as a professional boxer. Lytle’s last boxing bout before his BKB debut was a seventh round TKO victory over Omar Pittman in 2005.
Other UFC veteran such as Melvin Guillard, Wes Sims and Shonie Carter have all tried their luck in the BKB rings. It is unknown at this time if Lytle will compete again under the BKB banner of if the bout against Gallant was a one time thing.
BKB initially started with a series of pay-per-view in North America, but has found a solid home in the Uniterd Kingdom, where it continues to gain in popularity with each passing event.
