Big Show Doubts Match With Shaquille O’Neal Will Happen

If you're one of those people that are still hoping that the Big Show and former pro basketball player Shaquille O'Neal would have a match, then the "World's Largest Athlete" has some bad news for you.

TMZ Sports caught up with Big Show and asked about the potential Show vs. Shaq match that could have taken place at WrestleMania 33 last year.

"No, I doubt it. That was a thing that probably should have happened a long time ago and it didn't. Shaq's a great dude so who knows? Hopefully we do something together down the road, do something else. At the time, he was busy, I was busy. You get a superstar like Shaq who's doing so many things it's hard to nail him down for the time to get things done. I have a lot of respect for him and hopefully we do something down the road," Show said.

WrestleMania has been a unique event for Big Show. Big Show has fought in a couple of crossover matches with former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather and former sumo champion Akebono at WrestleManias 24 and 21, respectively. The fight against Shaq had been talked about throughout most of the second half of 2016.

Show's comments will still likely not deter people from making the bizarre bet that the four-time NBA champion will not only make an appearance at the Royal Rumble, but also win the Rumble. According to Paddy Power last week, Shaq's odds at winning the Rumble are at 200/1, which are twice as good odds as Mayweather, who sits at 400/1.
