Conor McGregor Said There Will Be A Trilogy Between Him And Nate DIaz

Contrary to what many may have seen towards the end of it, there was an actual press conference for UFC 202 and Conor McGregor answered questions, one of them being the possibility of a trilogy between him and Nate Diaz.

McGregor said that he feels confident he will defeat Nate Diaz at UFC 202 and that there will be a trilogy to end their feud, which started in UFC 196, when Diaz made McGregor submit.

“There won’t be a trilogy fight right away but there will be,” McGregor said. “We will do it three times. One hundred percent.”

McGregor said that he is ready for anything and everything that Diaz can throw at him. He felt confident after the training camp McGregor went through in preparation for the fight.

“We’re confident in what we’ve been doing here,” McGregor said. “We’re prepared. I’m ready for what this man has to bring. Bring his full camp. Let me see his full camp. I can’t wait to see it. Bring the clinch, bring your jiu-jitsu, bring the whole of (expletive) Stockton. I’m ready for all he has to bring.”

This come off the heels of UFC President Dana White announcing that after McGregor’s rematch with Diaz, he will defend his UFC Featherweight championship in his next fight or he will be forced to vacate the title. This would also mean that, should McGregor defeat Diaz at UFC 202, a third fight between them would not likely occur until 2017.

The full press conference can be seen in the video above.
