KeMonito Debunks Retirement Rumors, Provides Update On Legal Issues With CMLL

KeMonito provides an update.
KeMonito departed CMLL on September 2023 due to contract expiring, with KeMonit stating he would take legal action against the 91-year-old company. A year on, rumors had circulated that KeMonito lost the case with CMLL and he would have to retire the character; however, KeMonito debunked this.
In a video posted on Twitter, KeMonito said he had not heard anything on a legal end regarding having to stop using the “KeMonito” character and that he did not have immediate plans of retiring as he still plans to wrestle for a living to pay for his medications, his bills, and to help support his family. He stated the following:
“I am going to give a guideline to something that happened. There was a note that I left the character and that I retired. I don’t know where that note came from because I’m still in court, both civil and criminal, and with the conciliatory talks I have with Arena Mexico (CMLL) to see what’s next. In the meantime, as long as there is no paper signed by a judge or a person of rank, I am not finished. I am going to continue because I have to pay my expenses, I have to support my family and pay for my medicines and doctors. I have to keep going, I can’t stand without earning a salary, as I have said several times.
The truth is, I don’t know where that note came from and who it came from, but it must be for a reason, I have not received any notice that I am terminating and I am not going to sign anything until I reach an agreement. At this moment, there is no signed paper, so I am going to continue as I have been and I am going to continue working because I have to. I will continue with the settlement talks (with CMLL) until it is resolved, and you will know firsthand when it is resolved. I don’t have to hide things and I face things and move on but it did hurt a little bit”.
Amigos las notas que están circulando no son ciertas por favor no crean algo que no se a confirmado y menos de mi persona, cualquier cosa que suceda yo personalmente estaré anunciandocelos por este medio
