Report: Two More Fights Added To UFC Fight Night Belem, Joe Soto Among Additions

A pair of bouts are the latest additions to the UFC Fight Night Belem card as Iuri Alcantara faces Joe Soto and Michel Prazeres faces Desmond Green.

Combate reported the Soto/Alcantara bout, while MMA Brasil reported the Prazeres/Green fight.

Alcantara (34-9-0-1NC) enters the fight riding a two bout losing streak, with those defeats coming to Brian Kelleher and Alejandro Perez. Alcantara hasn’t earned a victory in almost a year, with his last win coming over Luke Sanders at UFC 209.

Soto (18-6-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, but the fighters last contest was a loss to Brett Johns at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Soto has previously challenged for the UFC Bantamweight Title, losing to TJ Dillashaw by knockout at UFC 177.

Prazeres (23-2-0) enters the bout on a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost three years. Prazeres saw his first seven fights in the UFC go the distance, but the competitors last two bouts ended via submission.

Green (20-6-0) has won just one of two in the UFC, with that lone victory coming over Josh Emmett at UFC 210. Green is also a former Titan Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion, defeating Steven Siler by decision at Titan FC 32 to win the gold.

UFC Fight Night Belem takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the Manguerinho Gymnasium in Belem, Brazil with Lyoto Machida and Eryk Anders headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
