Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet Ends In Disqualification After Konosuke Takeshita Attack On AEW Dynamite
Ospreay vs. Ricochet gets ruined.
The October 2 edition of AEW Dynamite opened with a classic affair between Will Ospreay and Ricochet in their first bout since 2017 and their tength singles match overall.
After a lengthy back and forth bout, the first closing sequence of the match featured Ricochet attempting a Vertigo on Ospreay. The move was countered, allowing Ospreay to take down Ricochet with a reverse hurricanrana. Ricochet popped up and nailed Ospreay with a reverse hurricanrana. Ospreay popped back up and struck Ricochet with a hidden blade. After the move, Ospreay fell on top of Ricochet, pinning both of their shoulders to the mat. Referee Rick Knox counted to three and declared the match a draw.

Tony Khan restarted the match, but it quickly went south, as Konosuke Takeshita laid out both men, much to the disapproval of the crowd.
