At the CMLL Noche de Campeones event on September 27th, Rayo Metálico defeated Futuro to win the Mexican National Lightweight Title. He scored the win with a flying crucifix driver. Futuro was stretchered out after the match.
With the victory, Rayo Metálico won the title for the first time.

The loss ended Futuro’s reign at 425 days. He won the title at a live event on July 30th, 2023.
