Will Ospreay Says Jon Moxley’s ‘Time To Be A Legend’ Promo After AEW All Out 2022 Is When He Knew He Wanted Be Part Of AEW

CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley at AEW All Out 2022 to recapture the AEW World Title. Shortly after his victory, he infamously called out the Executive Vice Presents (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, & Kenny Omega) and Hangman Page.

Punk’s words led to a backstage altercation between him, Ace Steel, the Bucks, and Omega. All parties were suspended for their actions.

On the subsequent episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley explained the importance of the AEW World Title and what it meant to be in AEW. Moxley closed his promo by saying, “Winners want the ball when the game is on the line. The Ace wants the ball. I want the ball. I’m going to take the shot. This isn’t just the fourth quarter. This isn’t just winning time. This is time to be a legend.”

Will Ospreay says that moment is when he knew he wanted to be part of AEW.

Ospreay announced that he signed with AEW in November 2023 and would join the roster full-time in February 2024.

Ospreay is the reigning AEW International Champion.
