Nigel McGuinness Thanks Bryan Danielson As He Taps Out To LeBell Lock At AEW Dynamite Grand Slam
Nigel McGuinness falls to Bryan Danielson in his return to the ring.
At AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, Nigel McGuinness faced off against Bryan Danielson in his first singles match since 2011. Notably, it was also McGuinness’ first time wrestling Bryan Danielson since September 2009. This match came after McGuinness made his return to the ring at AEW All In in August, taking part in the Casino Gauntlet bout.
Unfortunately, McGuinness fell short in his return to the ring, losing to Bryan Danielson. The finish of the match saw Danielson tap out McGuinness with a Labelle Lock after the hold was cinched on for a solid amount of time. McGuinness thanked Danielson as he submitted to the hold.

After the bout, Christian Cage came out and was seemingly moments away from cashing in his shot at the AEW World Championship. Instead, Kip Sabian appeared and stole Cage’s pen, making it to where he couldn’t sign the contract.
