Jon Moxley Defeats Darby Allin At AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, Set To Face Bryan Danielson At AEW WrestleDream
Jon Moxley defeats Darby Allin and earns a shot at the AEW World Championship.
Weeks after agreeing to a match, Jon Moxley and Darby Allin clashed in a singles bout at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, with the winner earning a shot at Bryan Danielson and the AEW World Championship. Allin originally won a shot at the belt back in July, but decided to put it on the line for this match.
After a back and forth match, Moxley was able to capture the victory, ending Allin’s run of four consecutive singles wins on television. The pinfall finish of the match saw Moxley reverse Allin’s suplex attempt into a Death Rider from the top rope.
