Welcome to the FIghtful.com live coverage for tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! John Cena gets ready for his match against AJ Styles by taking on Alberto Del Rio and the womens division is heating up and will Heath Slater return to Smackdown! Live? Be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST to find out!

-We open with Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon backstage with Randy Orton, having him sign the contract for his match with Brock, unusual, but I guess it makes sense because they’re trying to keep them separated. Heath Slater then brings a fruit basket as a form of apology. Heath says he watched last weeks Smackdown! Live and saw they wanted to give him a contract. Randy takes a bite of an apple, saying he has an idea as we go to the introduction. We open with Maryse introducing The Miz as we start Miz TV.

Dean Ambrose quickly interrupts them however, only to be interrupted by Dolph Ziggler. The Miz starts berating Doph, saying he was a flop, he started off strong and fizzled out, saying that Dolph is in the middle of a career resurgence. Dolph says he’s not worried about after Summerslam, only about Summerslam and the belt. Dean says he doesn’t buy the new Dolph, Dolph asks Dean what he wants him to do. Dean says that if Doph wins it won’t change anything, it won’t silence anyone, that once you get the belt then it starts getting really hard, all the critics are still there and you have a huge target on your back.

Dean says that Dolph can’t handle pressure, saying he’s got a chip on his shoulder and it’s going to bury him because he’s never felt pressure like he’ll feel Sunday night. Dean says that Dolph doesn’t want it bad enough, never has and he’ll never get it. Dolph says that Dean doesn’t know a thing about him, but he does know he’ll have to push as hard as he can, but he will win and become champion. Dolph goes off on a tangent then super kicks Dean out of no where, didn’t see that coming. They then tease a 12 man tag team match next as we go to commercial.

-As we come back Heath is backstage being examined. Daniel and Shane come out and congratulate him and say he will get the contract. He mistakes Daniel for Mick Foley and Stephanie. Bray met Randy on the way to the ring apparently during commercial, they’re doing these commercial subplots a lot.

Dean Ambrose vs Eric Rowan

The match slows down to a crawl as AJ shows off some good work on commentary. ADR hits a brutal DDT then plays to the crowd as we go to commercial.

Cena makes a comeback as we come back with the 5 moves of death. Cena then goes for a AA, but ADR counters with a Backstabber for a close 2 count.. Cena goes for another AA, but it’s countered into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Cena then hits a clothesline, going to the top rope, ADR hitting an enzugiri for a very close 2 count.
