At the ONE 168: Denver event on September 6th, Demetrious Johnson announced his retirement from competition. Johnson made the announcement after he was inducted into the ONE Championship Hall of Fame.

Johnson retired as the reigning ONE Flyweight Champion with a pro record of 25-4-1. He beat Adriano Moraes to win the title at ONE on Prime Video 1 on August 27th, 2022. In his last fight, he defended the title against Moraes in a rematch at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5th, 2023. There, he won via unanimous decision.

Mighty Mouse competed in his first professional MMA fight in 2009. He had a legendary run in the UFC, where he was the inaugural UFC Flyweight Champion and defended the title 11 consecutive times, a UFC record. He tied Jon Jones for the most successful title defenses in UFC history and had the third-most wins in UFC title fights with 12. He also scored the most wins in UFC flyweight title fights with 12.
Johnson is a three-time Fight of the Night winner, and he had the most consecutive wins in the history of the UFC flyweight division with 13, among other accolades. He won the 2017 ESPY Award for Fighter of the Year. In ONE, Johnson also won the 2019 ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix.
