New Stipulations And Matches Added To Clash Of Champions
Two matches and a new stipulation are set for this Sunday at Clash of Champions.
A new guest referee has been added to the match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura. Owens and Zayn tried to start a "Occupy Smackdown" movement in the same vein as Daniel Bryan, complaining about the unfairness of Shane McMahon. Daniel Bryan interject, and along with McMahon being a guest referee on Sunday, he will be the second referee in that match.
Two new matches have also been announced for Sunday. The Hype Bros. will face off with one another, while The Bludgeon Brothers and Breezango will also go at it.
Zack Ryder made it clear to Dasha Fuentes earlier tonight before Smackdown that he wanted a piece of Mojo Rawley, issuing a challenge for them to square off this Sunday:
Additionally, Breezango have challenged The Bludgeon Brothers to a match on Sunday as part of their investigation that's been going on for the last six months. WWE posted a video of the episode which you can see below:
The Hype Bros. split up back on the November 28 edition of Smackdown. They had just lost to the Bludgeon Brothers in what was essentially a squash. As Zack Ryder was talking about the loss, Mojo jumped him from behind and assaulted him, leaving him in a heap on the floor. When he was later questioned about his actions, Rawley simply replied that the landscape had changed.
They've been a tag team since June 2015 in NXT, when Ryder forged the alliance with the upstart Rawley. They teamed up on NXT until Rawley was called up in July of 2016. They continued to team on the Smackdown roster until Ryder blew out his knee, which kept him out of action for months.
Rawley won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at this year's WrestleMania, but really wasn't used on TV until Ryder returned from his injury in June. They'e been off and on TV since then as a team until the split last month.
