Cedric Alexander Faces Drew Gulak Next Week On Raw, Winner Faces Enzo Amore For The Title
Things were shuffled around Monday when it comes to the Cruiserweight title scenario, with Cedric Alexander now set to face Drew Gulak next week in a number one contenders match.
It was announced on Raw that WWE had revoked Rich Swann's opportunity, without going into details. It was instead announced that there would be a second chance fatal four way, with the winner to face Drew Gulak next week on Raw, with the winner facing Enzo Amore for the title.
The second opportunity fatal four way had Cedric Alexander facing off against Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and Mustafa Ali. Here are the final moments of the match via our live coverage:
Daivari and Alexander then brawl on the arena floor until Nese takes them out with a suicide dive, Nese gets Alexander in the ring before landing a knee strike for a near fall. Nese and Daivari work together to attack Ali, Ali eventually knocks Nese out of the ring before Alexander takes him out. Alexander then hits Daivari with a handspring enzaguri followed by the Lumbar Check for a three count.
Originally, Rich Swann was set to face Drew Gulak tonight to determine the next contender for the Cruiserweight champion. However, he was arrested this past weekend on battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment charges, and thus has been suspended indefinitely while the situation is investigated.
