Report: Valentina Shevchenko Faces Priscila Cachoeira At UFC Fight Night Belem

A women’s flyweight division attraction may be coming to the UFC Fight Night Belem card as #1 (BW) Valentina Shevchenko faces Priscila Cachoeira.

Shevchenko (14-3-0) is competing for the first time since losing a women’s bantamweight title bout to Amanda Nunes at UFC 215. Shevchenko has earned a total of three wins in the UFC, with two of those wins coming over former UFC and Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champions. Shevchenko has also seen four of her five fights in the UFC go the distance and the lone bout that saw a finish came against Julianna Pena at UFC On Fox 23.

Cachoeira (8-0-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted well over a year. Cachoeira has earned all eight of her professional MMA wins by decision or KO/TKO, the fighter has yet to get a submission win. Cachoeira also competed once as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Ana Costa Monteiro by decision at Face To Face 13.

UFC Fight Night Belem takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the Manguerinho Gymnasium in Belem, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
