Angela Magana Claims Sexism Played A Role In Latest Defeat

Angela Magana walked into the Octagon at UFC 218 looking for her first victory in a professional MMA fight since the former United States President Barack Obama’s first term in the White House.

That victory would not come for the female strawweight fighter, who recently took to Twitter to claim that her loss came because she isn’t of the opposite sex.

Magana’s last win came in August of 2011, when she defeated Avery Vilche by first round submission at Clash In The Rockies: The New Generation.

Prior to coming to the UFC in 2014, the fighter had notable wins over UFC veterans Jessica Aguilar and Barb Honchak, plus wins over Invicta FC veterans Lynn Alvarez and Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc.
