IMPACT Wrestling on Pop TV 11/16 Results Two Title Matches, oVe vs LAX & More!

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of IMPACT Wrestling on Pop TV. Tonight we have a great show as in our main event Eli Drake defends his GFW Championship against Petey Williams, Fallah Bahh challenges EC3 for the IMPACT Grand Championship, oVe face LAX in a six-man tag. We also have an X-Division six-man tag match and much more so be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST for all of the action!
 

-We open the show with a video package for the GFW World Championship Match between Eli Drake and Petey Williams tonight.

X-Division Six-Man Tag Match

Sonjay and Trevor start the match off, Lee immediately kicking Sonjay in the midsection before dropping him with a right hand. Sonjay comes back with a huricanrrana before Taiji gets tagged in and the two exchange wrist locks and flips. Caleb tags himself in and gets dropkicked for his troubles before Lee tags himself in and chokes Sonjay in his corner with Taiji before tagging Caleb in. Caleb hits a jumping knee before putting Sonjay in a rear chin lock that he fights out of before tagging Garza in. Garza makes Taiji hit Lee, then hits a huricanrrana before Dezmond hits a tope to the outside.

Taiji hits a seated senton off of the top to Dezmond before hitting a double foot stomp for a near fall. Caleb comes in and sends Dezmond out of the ring with a European uppercut before Garza takes out Caleb and Dezmond tags back in. Dezmond then hits the Final Flash for the pin and the win.

Winner: Dezmond Xavier via pinfall

-We get a quick vignette for oVe.

IMPACT Grand Championship Match

EC3 (c) vs Fallah Bahh

Round 1

Bahh hits his own head to start the match before they lock up for a clean break. EC3 tries to lift Bahh, but he just tosses him away, then Bahh fights out of a headlock before dropping EC3 with a shoulder block. EC3 tries to lift Bahh again and gets suplexed for his troubles before Bahh drops him repeatedly and sends him out of the ring as we get to under thirty seconds. Bahh goes out after EC3 and tosses him back into the ring as the round ends. 

Round 2

Bahh hits EC3 with a series of right hands before hitting a shoulder tackle in the corner, but misses a spear and goes shoulder first into the ring post. EC3 beats Bahh down before hitting a knee, then chops him repeatedly in the corner. Bahh fights out of another headlock as we get to under a minute, then hits a splash in the corner. EC3 then puts a camel clutch on Bahh as the round ends.

 Round 3

Bahh hits EC3 with a series of right hands to start the round before EC3 clotheslines him repeatedly, trying to drop him, but to no avail. Bahh hits a Samoan drop before dropping EC3 repeatedly and hitting a running splash in the corner. Bahh counters a One Percenter into a running cross body for a near fall before EC3 pulls Bahh off of the top turnbuckle when he goes for a splash. EC3 then rolls Bahh up and gets the pin and the win with his feet on the ropes.

Winner: EC3 defeats Fallah Bahh in round three via pinfall to retain the IMPACT Grand Championship.

oVe vs LAX

They get in the ring and brawl as soon as the match starts, then oVe clear the ring, leaving Sami and Santana in the ring. Jake comes in and gets beat down by Ortiz before Sami hits a double underhook shoulder breaker. Sami hits a tope to the outside before Santana hits one and takes out oVe, then Sami and Santana get back in the ring and Sami sends Santana into the ring post when Ortiz distracts the referee. Dave then gets in and stomps on Santana as we go to commercial.

Sami beats on Santana in the corner as we come back from commercial, before Homicide tags in and beats on Jake as soon as he tags in. Homicide hits a fisherman's suplex for a near fall that Sami breaks up before tagging Dave in. Dave tags Jake back in before hitting a sidewalk slam for a quick two count, then immediately tags Sami back in. Sami and Homicide exchange strikes before LAX double up on Jake and hit a double team move that sends him out of the ring. Sami comes in and he and Dave hit a superkick tombstone combo for a near fall, then LAX hit a three-man finisher for the pin and the win.

Winner: LAX via pinfall

–Dan Lambert comes out to the ring and talks about Lashley's current status with IMPACT before moose comes out and attacks him, only for the entirety of American Top Team to gang up on him. James Storm comes out and evens the score before knocking one of them out with a beer bottle. James then goes on to talk about the company, staff and the fans as well as beer before leaving.

-We get a backstage interview segment with Eli Drake about his title defense against Petey Williams later tonight. We then get a video package for Petey Williams' career in IMPACT and he talks about his title challenge as we go to commercial.

-We get a video package for the career of Gail Kim before she comes out to the ring and talks about her career before thanking the company and the fans before she forfeits the Knockouts Championship as we go to commercial.

GFW Championship Match

Eli Drake (c) vs Petey Williams

They lock up to start the match before Petey fights out of a side headlock only for Eli to drop him with a shoulder block. Petey comes back and teases his finisher, but Eli quickly rolls out of the ring to regroup, taking his time to get back in the ring before hitting Petey with right hands in the corner. Petey hits a huricanrrana before putting Eli in the tree of woe, then a single leg Boston crab. Eli kicks Petey away before Petey trips him into the middle rope and dropkicks the back of his neck for a quick two count as we go to commercial.

Eli drops Petey onto the top rope before hitting a sit-out facebuster for a quick two count as we come back from commercial. Petey hits a jawbreaker and runs at Eli before Eli hits a powerslam and a jumping elbow drop. Petey fights out of a cross face only for Eli to stomp his head and his face into the mat before Petey comes back. His momentum doesn't last long as as soon as he whips Eli into the corner Eli rushes out and powerslams him. Eli misses a knee drop before Petey hits a side Russian leg sweep for a quick two count, then Eli counters the Canadian Destroyer into a pop-up uranage for a near fall.

Petey hits a slingshot code breaker into a release German suplex, then goes for the Canadian Destroyer again, but Eli immediately counters into a reverse side slam for a near fall. Eli misses an elbow drop off of the top before missing a springboard moonsault, then Petey puts him in a sharpshooter before Eli manages to get to the bottom rope for the break. Petey hits a tornado DDT before hitting a tope to the outside and taking out Chris Adonis at ringside. Petey counters the Gravy Train into a Canadian Destroyer for a near fall before Eli counters another one into the Gravy Train for the pin and the win.

Winner: Eli Drake retains the GFW Championship via pinfall by defeating Petey Williams with the Gravy Train.
