Sin Cara Suffers Knee Injury During European Tour, Already Cleared

Just as Sin Cara was getting back on TV, fate has played a cruel joke on him — at least for a day or two.

Sin Cara posted on Twitter on November 5 that he would be unable to take it to a Smackdown live event in Lisbon, Portugal that night due to a knee injury that he suffered earlier in the tour:

Earlier, he posted a photo of the injury, which looked particularly nasty:

As it usually seems to be with this kind of injury, it seems to be a freak accident. He was wrestling Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn at a live event in Madrid, Spain when he bent down to lower the top rope and send Baron Corbin out of the ring. In the process, he rolled over his knee as he was doing this, then fell to the floor:

Sin Cara had just been appearing on television again in a feud with Baron Corbin over the United States title. Fortunately for Sin Cara, he's been cleared to return to the ring already, and will take on Baron Corbin again next week on Smackdown Live.
